After wearing acrylic nails for years I finally decided to complete a course, for a reasonable price I did a course learning to sculpt acrylic nails. My educator was very professional, helpful and informative, teaching me everything I needed to know about the product and equipment I would be using. The class was well set out and very practical for our learning, along with the very small number of people in the class, to make it almost one on one teaching at times. Our educator always spent time offering advice, or showing me how I could better my work in any way possible. If I had a problem I always felt I could ask for help as the educators were very approachable and always willing to help. Upon completing my nail course, I not only got a certificate, and I also get a phone call every 2 weeks from my educator to see how my nails are going, ask If I have any questions/queries and also informing on specials. I chose to do this course as it offers a lot of different techniques of the nail industry that other courses don’t, such as pink and white nails and toenails and backfilling using a drill. The course teaches you all aspects of the nail industry and also helps you on your way if you want to be a self employed nail technician. The classes are kept small, so if you’re having trouble with something you receive help straight away. After completion of the course they stay in contact with you and I get to find out about new products and new courses so there are endless opportunities. Overall I thought the course was excellent and I’m so glad I trained to start my future as a nail technician.

I always wanted to work in the Beauty Industry but I didn’t know where to start. The course I was looking at required high school qualifications and as I left school early I didn’t meet the requirements. I have always loved getting my nails done and I was one of the first in N.Z to get pink & white sculptured nails.
